Sharon

Manager and Designated safeguarding lead

My Applecroft journey began in 2006, when I brought my daughter Katie to preschool. I started volunteering and, while studying for my Level 3 Early Years qualification, completed my placement at Applecroft. My son having additional needs inspired my interest in SEND and my passion for supporting children to feel included, understood and valued. My journey continued from volunteer, to Early Years Assistant, Deputy Manager and eventually Manager. Applecroft has been a huge part of my life. What began with bringing my daughter through the door became my career, my passion and a place that truly has my heart.

Deputy Manager, Designated safeguarding lead

Carly

My journey into education began after I had my daughter, I started as a midday supervisor at a primary school, I then trained as a level 3 teaching assistant followed by a level 3 early years practitioner and then a year later I became deputy manager at Applecroft preschool. I enjoy working with and creating bonds with children, watching their personalities develop and becoming confident and flourishing in their surroundings. I love working closely with families to help provide care and support to not only the child but the wider family also, I believe in treating children how I would want my own child to be treated, with patience, care and understanding- something I pride the staff at Applecroft on.

SENCo and Inclusion Coordinator

Gemma

My journey to becoming a SENCo began through raising my own children with additional needs, giving me a personal understanding of the worries and challenges families can face when navigating education and accessing the right support. With a career dedicated to education and SEND, I am passionate about early intervention. I have been proud to be part of the Applecroft team since 2022, working alongside wonderful children with our dedicated team who ensure every child feels understood, valued and supported, to create an inclusive, nurturing environment which creates positive early experiences in learning and strong foundations for their future.

Level 3 EYFS Practitioner and Fire Warden

Emma

My journey into Early years began after having my children, when I joined a preschool in an admin role. It was there I discovered my passion for teaching and creating exciting new ways for children to learn.I was delighted to have the opportunity to complete my level 3 in Early Years. Some of the best days of my life have been raising my own children and having a family of my own, which is what makes this job so special to me. The best thing I love about this job is seeing the big smile on children's faces.
